Need Free Emergency Contraception? We Got You!

When it comes to your sexual health, support should be easy to find and free to access. Montanans for Choice is partnering with Montana businesses and organizations to bring free emergency contraception (E.C.) to your community.

The Emergency Contraception we’re providing is available over-the-counter (OTC) without a prescription from your healthcare provider. There are no age limits or restrictions. Anyone who thinks they might be able to get pregnant can use these Emergency Contraception pills safely and legally.

The Speak E.C. program is working to offer free E.C. in convenient community spaces across Montana. Stop by one of our partner sites to get a FREE sexual health kit, no judgement, no questions asked.

Here’s how Speak E.C. works:

Posters will be in partner businesses, often in restrooms, near the check-out counter, or on community boards.

That’s it. No purchase required. No I.D needed. No questions asked.

Each kit will include:

​

  • 1 dose of an emergency contraceptive pill

  • 2 pregnancy test strips

  • 4 condoms

  • 4 lubricant packs

  • Helpful information on emergency contraception and where you can find additional resources and support

Want EC sooner? Reach out to our friends at Montana Abortion Access Program to ask for a Reproductive Care Kit to be mailed to you.

Want to be a Pickup Spot?

If you’re a business, nonprofit, or community space in Montana, you can become a Speak E.C. site. By partnering with us, you can help ensure over-the-counter emergency contraceptive pills are always available  - right in your neighborhood!

What Montanans for Choice Provides:

✔ Pre-packed sexual health kits in batches of 10 - 30 kits

✔ Posters and promotional materials

✔ A staff guide to help you feel confident responding to questions & requests

✔ Ongoing support from our team

What You Provide:

  • A public-facing space to hang a poster (bathroom, check-out counter, or a community board works great!)

  • A safe, discreet place to store kits (behind the counter, back office, etc.)

  • A commitment to compassion and confidentiality for anyone who asks for a free kit

Sign Up to be a Pick-Up Site

Becoming a pick-up site supports your community. It also brings new people through your door and shows your customers that you support sexual & reproductive health and rights!

Acknowledgements: Montanans for Choice is incredibly grateful to the MANY advocates doing similar work in other states. We appreciate the inspiration and willingness to share resources and lessons learned.
